YRGMERF
is anticipating a project to strengthen the Urban Ecosystem Against Future
Disease Threats by implementing a framework for urban-peri-urban coordination.
This project if commissioned will require a team of below positions to support
the coordination, implementation and monitoring of several components.
Key Responsibilities
The
Project Lead will be responsible for supporting the team in implementing the
project activities, coordination with stakeholders, oversight of the
activities. Will report to Chief Operating Officer based at Chennai. Will work
closely with State Surveillance Officer, City Coordinator, State Data Quality
Assurance Officer and other team members.
Strategic Direction and Planning
- Translates the approved project work plan into
monthly operational plans with clear milestones, task assignments, and
deadlines for key stakeholders
- Conducts monthly and quarterly strategic reviews of
project progress against the approved timeline and recommend course corrections
Government and Stakeholder Coordination
- Establishes and maintain
working relationships with key stakeholders, receive their timely inputs and
align with the priorities so that the resources are optimised.
- Attends or deputes
representation at the coordination meetings including timely submission of
reports to the donor, stakeholders.
Team Management and Quality Assurance
- Directly supervises the
designated staff, address bottlenecks, and provide guidance
- Works closely with the
subject experts to ensure that the activities are implemented and monitored as
per the specific action plans.
- Reviews performance, guide
suitably and provide support to improve. Carry out team meetings to share their
learnings among each other.
- Conducts field visit to
observe field operations first-hand, interact with local stakeholders
- Ensures that all project
activities comply with YRGMERF’s organisational policies on ethics,
safeguarding, data protection, and financial management.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepares and submits monthly
and quarterly narrative progress reports in the prescribed format
- Ensures that the data
quality checks are performed by the team before the reports are sent out
- Supports in documentation of
the project activities and share with the stakeholders in a timely manner
Additional Duties
- Undertakes any other
responsibilities assigned by the supervisor in support of project objectives.

Qualifications and Experience
Masters in Public Health or similar
courses in Public Health with minimum 8 years' experience in managing
multi-stakeholder large scale project under NUHM, Urban Health Project, Disease
Surveillance, One Health Activities in State. Preference will be given to
local candidates who understands and have worked in State Health Systems.
