Project/Maintenance Manager

Job Purpose:

Responsible for the full lifecycle management of projects and ongoing maintenance operations at a client site.

This role involves coordinating multiple projects,ensures the reliable operation and maintenance of electrical, control and instrumentation systems, successful delivery of site-based projects, and strong client relationship management in line with contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs). Ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and driving cross-functional teams toward meeting deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • N Diploma/B Degree in Electrical Engineering. (Compulsory)
  • N Diploma/B Degree in Project Management(Advantage).
  • Project Management accreditation.(SACPCMP and/or PMP)
  • ECSA Pr. Eng / Pr. Tech Eng (Advantage)​

Experience:

  • 7–10 years’ experience in electrical engineering and project management
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory role overseeing large-scale electrical programs.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in site-based operations and maintenance environments
  • Proven experience managing client contracts and SLAs


Requirements

Required Knowledge

  • Electrical systems design (MCCs, drives, transformers)
  • PLC programming, SCADA and HMI systems
  • Control & Instrumentation systems
  • Industrial networking (Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus, etc.)
  • Preventative and predictive maintenance systems
  • Commissioning and fault-finding of electrical systems
  • Diesel generators and backup power systems
  • Health & Safety legislation (OHSA)
