Intern Program Overview
Builders’ Internship Program provides students with meaningful, hands-on experience and an opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry. Interns work on real business projects, contribute to organizational goals, and gain exposure to various areas of the company.
Throughout the program, interns have opportunities to connect with leaders and professionals across the organization, build a strong professional network, and learn from experienced colleagues.
The program also includes professional development sessions, networking events, learning opportunities, and collaborative projects designed to enhance skills, broaden industry knowledge, and prepare interns for future career success.
Position Summary
The Project Management / Business Analyst Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting strategic initiatives within the company’s Specialty Division while building a foundation in project management and business analysis. This role provides opportunities to develop a deeper understanding of insurance operations, collaborate across functions, and gain exposure to enterprise-level project delivery.
Through structured training, meaningful on-the-job experiences, and collaboration with business leaders, project managers, and technical teams, the Intern will contribute to defining project requirements, supporting project execution, analyzing business needs, and delivering insights that help enhance processes, systems, and customer experience.
The Intern will also have opportunities to build meaningful professional relationships across the organization, strengthen communication and analytical skills, and gain practical experience that supports long-term career growth and success within the insurance industry.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in project management, business administration, management or related field
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment while maintaining a positive, motivated and proactive approach
- Skill in strategic and critical thinking with the ability to evaluate information, identify opportunities and develop thoughtful solutions
- Interest in, and curiosity about, the insurance industry, with a strong desire to learn and grow professionally
- Skill in written, verbal and interpersonal communications with the ability to build effective relationships across the organization
- Ability to perform high-quality work while demonstrating professionalism, sound judgment and accountability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and function specific software
