Project Manager 2, Engineering
Responsibilities
- Develop & maintain integrated master schedules covering engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, qualification, and supply chain activities.
- Ensure alignment between engineering schedules and material procurement plans.
- Adaptability and ability to work in fast paced environment
- Develop and maintain program readiness plans covering materials, supply chain, manufacturing, and qualification activities.
- Track critical path items that could impact development schedules.
- Coordinate build readiness reviews and material allocation decisions for development programs.
- Own material readiness strategy from concept through production ramp.
- Plan and coordinate procurement of materials required to support NTI activities, including:
- Prototype builds
- Evaluation lots
- Development wafers
- Qualification builds
- Reliability testing
- Pilot production
- Work closely with Engineering, Supply Planning, and Sourcing teams to identify material requirements and lead times.
- Monitor material availability against program schedules and proactively mitigate shortages.
- Coordinate procurement activities for long-lead components, tooling, consumables, and custom materials.
- Maintain visibility to material commitments, delivery schedules, and potential supply risks.
- Ensure materials are available to support all planned engineering and qualification activities.
- Maintain integrated program and supply-chain risk registers.
- Identify risks associated with:
- Long-lead materials
- Supplier capacity
- Yield ramp
- Logistics
- Equipment readiness
- Manufacturing constraints
- Develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Lead executive escalations with clear corrective actions and recovery options.
- Support forecasting and tracking of NTI/NPI development spending.
- Monitor prototype material expenditures and project-related procurement costs.
- Assist in budget planning and variance analysis.
