PROJECT MANAGER

NewBe an early applicant

Summary

Project Manager at 7 17 Credit Union who coordinates organizational initiatives end to end — building plans and timelines, tracking risks and dependencies, facilitating stakeholder meetings, and maintaining project documentation. The role emphasizes project coordination, communication, and cross-departmental collaboration rather than hands-on technology work.

About the Role

At 7 17 Credit Union, our mission is simple: We help people improve their lives financially and support the communities we serve.

We’re looking for an organized, collaborative, and results-oriented Project Manager to help lead the planning, coordination, communication, and execution of organizational initiatives.

In this role, you’ll work closely with project sponsors, business leaders, project teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to keep projects organized, moving forward, and aligned with business objectives. You’ll be responsible for coordinating projects from initiation through completion while helping teams navigate priorities, dependencies, risks, and challenges along the way.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing people together, creating structure around complex initiatives, and helping turn ideas into successful outcomes.

What You'll Do

Project Planning & Management

  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and timelines using approved project management tools.
  • Work with business leaders to understand project scope, goals, deliverables, and required resources.
  • Coordinate project teams and help ensure the right resources are available to accomplish project objectives.
  • Identify project risks, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, and critical path activities.
  • Monitor project progress and recommend adjustments when priorities or timelines change.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, status updates, meeting notes, decision logs, and issue logs.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned and recommendations for improvement.
  • Help develop and improve project management standards, templates, processes, and best practices.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Provide regular project updates to project sponsors, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate activities and communication across departments, business units, vendors, consultants, and external partners.
  • Build productive working relationships that support successful project outcomes.
  • Help facilitate issue resolution and remove obstacles that may affect project progress.
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and engagement among project team members.

Project Execution

  • Coordinate project activities from initiation through completion.
  • Assign, track, and follow up on project tasks and action items.
  • Ensure team members understand responsibilities, deadlines, and expected outcomes.
  • Monitor task completion and escalate concerns when deadlines or deliverables are at risk.
  • Manage project dependencies and impacts across teams.
  • Track milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, and change requests.
  • Support organizational change through project coordination, communications, and training.
  • Proactively identify issues and work with stakeholders to develop solutions and contingency plans.

A Few Things You Should Know
