Project Manager - Airport Support Facilities

Position Overview

We are hiring for the position of Project Manager- Airport Support Facilities for multiple upcoming projects across Ahmedabad , Mangalore , Trivandrum.The Project Manager – Airport Support Facilities is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering airport support infrastructure projects that enable efficient airport operations. This includes facilities such as terminal support buildings, utility plants, maintenance facilities, cargo support areas, landside infrastructure, and staff accommodations. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with aviation, regulatory, and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of airport support facility projects including MEP plants, utility buildings, maintenance hangars, cargo and logistics facilities, workshops, and operational support buildings.
• Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans aligned with airport master planning and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with airport operations, engineering, planning, safety, security, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable aviation regulations, local building codes, fire and life safety standards, and sustainability requirements.
• Manage design development, technical reviews, value engineering, and constructability assessments.
• Oversee procurement strategies, contractor selection, contract administration, and commercial management.
• Monitor project progress, cost control, risk management, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure effective HSE management, site safety compliance, and minimal disruption to live airport operations.
• Manage stakeholder communication, reporting, and presentations to senior management and external authorities.
• Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and commissioning plans.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, handover, and close-out activities including O&M documentation and as-built drawings.
• Manage change management, claims, and dispute resolution in coordination with commercial and legal teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure, building, or facilities projects, with significant experience in airport environments.
• Proven experience managing large-scale support facilities such as utility plants, maintenance buildings, cargo facilities, or operational support infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of airport operational requirements and interfaces with terminal, airside, and landside functions.
• Familiarity with DGCA, BCAS, MoCA regulations, and statutory approval processes.
• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred.
