About the Role

Under the direction of the Director, Customer Relationship Management, the Project Manager leads and coordinates projects within our manufacturing operations while also providing customer relations services. The successful candidate will oversee all phases of project planning and execution, ensuring that initiatives are completed on time, within budget in accordance with company standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical knowledge specific to manufacturing environments.

What you'll do

  • Plan, execute, and finalize manufacturing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, detailing, estimating, purchasing) to ensure accurate and timely handoffs, approvals, and production scheduling.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for order inquiries, clarification, and submittals from customers. Ensure accurate and timely updates across project tracking systems.
  • Develop detailed project scopes, objectives, work plans, schedules, and associated communication documents.
  • Monitor order status, identify delays or issues, and work with relevant teams or customers to resolve them promptly. Maintain clear communication to ensure project alignment.
  • Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and implement risk mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality, procurement, and logistics.
  • Managing costs and lead times associated with changes, as well as status updates in systems. Communicate with customer to ensure transparent information is shared.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations during project execution.
  • Finalize documentation for completed orders, including installation instructions and shipping paperwork. Archive records according to company standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational efficiency through effective project execution.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in cross-functional roles and departments for related projects.
  • Other related duties, as assigned.


Required Qualification, Experiences and Skills

Education

College diploma in Business, Architecture, or related field.

AND

2 - 5 years of project management experience or equivalent knowledge and experience.

Door and Hardware Industry (DHI) courses are an asset.

PMP designation is an asset.


Experience & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain and production operations.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and processes.
  • Knowledge of the door and hardware industry is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing projects in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience working with project management software and updating information in the software.
  • Experience providing front line service to customers in a timely and efficient manner with a customer first approach.
  • Experience problem solving and managing project risks for delivery of project on time and complete.
  • Experience using a CRM program, including entering data and updates on a regular basis.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Bilingual an asset.
