Project Manager- Architecture
Description
Lead Projects. Build Relationships. Deliver Results.
Are you an experienced AEC professional who enjoys bringing people together, managing complex projects, and making sure the details come together from start to finish?
Thompson & Litton is seeking a Project Manager – Architecture to oversee architectural projects from kickoff through completion. This is a dedicated project management role focused on project delivery, client relationships, team coordination, budgets, schedules, and overall project performance.
Unlike traditional architectural roles, this position does not involve day-to-day design production or drafting. Instead, you'll work alongside our architectural and technical professionals, providing the leadership, organization, and coordination needed to deliver successful projects. If you enjoy managing the moving parts of a project more than producing the drawings yourself, this could be a great next step in your career.
What You'll Do
- Lead Project Delivery: Oversee projects from initiation through completion, managing scope, schedules, budgets, contracts, and deliverables.
- Build Client Relationships: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, understand their needs, communicate project progress, and help maintain strong working relationships.
- Coordinate Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with architects, engineers, surveyors, consultants, and contractors to keep projects organized and moving forward.
- Manage Project Performance: Monitor project budgets, schedules, resources, and overall performance. Identify potential challenges and work with project teams to resolve issues.
- Guide Project Teams: Provide direction, establish expectations, and help ensure team members have the information and resources needed to successfully complete their work.
- Oversee Project Administration: Manage project documentation, contracts, change orders, meeting coordination, and other project-related responsibilities.
- Maintain Quality and Accountability: Help ensure projects meet contractual requirements, client expectations, and Thompson & Litton's standards.
What You'll Bring
- 8–10+ years of project management experience within architecture, engineering, construction, or a related AEC environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience overseeing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and deliverables.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and managing client relationships.
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while keeping teams focused and accountable.
- Registered Architect (RA), Project Management Professional (PMP), LEED AP, or other industry-recognized credentials are a plus.
