Project Manager
About the Role:
As a Project Manager, you are accountable for the successful delivery of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that each project is delivered the ACC Way - safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will lead and coordinate project delivery teams, manage client relationships, and oversee commercial, safety, and quality outcomes in alignment with Ashley Cooper Construction’s systems, processes, and values.
You will be responsible for managing all phases of your projects - from liaising with preconstruction through to post-construction closeout - fostering collaboration between stakeholders and driving consistent, high-performing results. Central to this role is strong communication, proactive leadership, and the ability to foresee and mitigate risk while
identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the Construction Manager and contributing to the professional development and cohesion of the wider delivery team, ensuring every project reflects excellence, consistency, and the Ashley Cooper Construction reputation for quality and client experience.
What You Will Be Doing
Preconstruction
- Support the Estimating team with tender submissions and market coverage
- Assist with the preparation and issue of subcontractor tender packages
- Maintain and update tender and procurement templates
- Review project documentation to identify risks, opportunities and key contract conditions
- Manage pre-award communications with subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensure documentation is accurately controlled
Construction
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, trade packages, site instructions, variations and progress claims
- Maintain contract registers, including RFI, EOT and variation logs
- Coordinate subcontractor documentation including insurances, licences and safety submissions
- Monitor and manage defect rectification processes
- Prepare compliance certifications and assist in achieving timely practical completion
- Support the Project Manager with regular cost and status reporting
Commercial
- Prepare, submit and track head contract progress claims and variations
- Review, assess and process subcontractor progress claims, invoices and variations
- Assist with monthly cost reporting and forecasting
- Maintain project budgets and ensure cost commitments are recorded and approved correctly
- Administer retention releases and contract closeout documentation

What You Bring
- Bachelor of Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years experience delivering commercial construction projects as a Project Manager
- Proven experience managing medium to large scale projects through all phases
- White Card and Open Driver's Licence
- Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgement and the ability to operate autonomously
- Experience delivering hospitality, retail or commercial projects is highly regarded.
