Project Manager Assistant (Mandarin/English )

About the Role

Tiger Star Construction Corporation, a subsidiary of Hailiang, is seeking a Mandarin/English bilingual Project Manager Assistant to support construction projects, including factory expansion work.

This role focuses on traditional, hands-on construction management, including site coordination, scheduling, progress tracking, and documentation. This is an on-site position, not a remote role.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project manager with daily construction site coordination and scheduling.

• Track construction progress, follow up on tasks, and report delays or issues.

• Read construction drawings and assist with coordinating site work.

• Facilitate communication among Mandarin- and English-speaking teams, contractors, and suppliers.

• Assist with coordinating materials, deliveries, and daily work arrangements.

• Support quality and safety follow-up under the project manager’s direction.

• Prepare and organize project documents, meeting notes, and progress reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.

• Recent graduates are welcome to apply. Construction site or project coordination experience is preferred but not required.

• Basic understanding of construction drawings and traditional construction processes.

• Ability to communicate effectively in both Mandarin Chinese and English.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

• Willingness to work on site and participate in daily construction coordination.

Work Location and Employment

Work Location : 5000 Interstate 10 Frontage Rd , Sealy, TX 77474

• Candidates from other states are welcome to apply and interview but must be willing and able to work on site in Texas by the employment start date.

• This is an on-site position; remote work is not available.

• Employment is through the company’s formal payroll system, with wages reported for tax purposes and applicable taxes withheld.

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the employment start date.
