Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager
- Lead end-to-end retail store fit-out, refurbishment, and renovation projects from planning through handover.
- Develop design concepts, layouts, and space planning solutions for retail stores.
- Prepare and review detailed drawings, 3D renderings, presentations, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with landlords, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities to obtain required approvals and permits.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and quality standards to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor site progress and conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and company standards.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Retail Operations, Finance, Procurement, Marketing, and Facilities teams.
- Review contractor quotations, negotiate project costs, and support procurement activities.
- Ensure timely project reporting and communication to management and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in project execution.
- Maintain accurate project records, budgets, and post-project evaluations.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years & above of relevant experience in retail project management, retail fit-out, renovation, or construction projects.
- Experience working with retail chains, shopping mall developments, or commercial fit-out projects is highly preferred.
- Experience in construction or interior fit-out companies will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, construction processes, and procurement procedures.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within tight timelines.
- Strong stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max (or equivalent visualization software), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project will be an advantage.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel for project site visits when required.
