Position Overview
The Project Manager Assistant is a meticulous individual with excellent interpersonal skills who supports the management of multiple customer projects for a growing wholesale distributor.
This position assists in growing organizational sales through relationship building, vendor coordination, collaboration with the Texas Project Manager, and managing projects from quote to invoice.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in managing multiple projects at once.
- Develop relationships with both customers and manufacturers.
- Work to provide timely and competitive product quotes.
- Work in cooperation with internal departments to manage cost needs or requests in a timely manner; track and report on the progress of pricing needs or requests.
- Develop and maintain constructive relationships with other business units and departments.
- Demonstrate professionalism when representing the company in all communications with internal and external customers and manufacturers.
- Sustain housekeeping standards in accordance with company appearance guidelines.
- Maintain facility/job site adherence to internal safety standards and OSHA compliance.
- Meet company standards for quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and directives regarding workplace behavior while maintaining regular and timely attendance.
- Accurately pick, stage, prepare, verify, and load customer orders, transfers, delivery shipments, and will-call orders.
- Receive, inspect, unload, verify, label, and stock inbound materials accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory handling practices through proper product placement and staging procedures.
- Identify and communicate inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, shipping errors, and safety issues to warehouse leadership.
- Support inventory accuracy by participating in cycle counts, inventory verification, and discrepancy resolution activities.
- Assist with material movement, staging, loading, unloading, pipe handling, and warehouse organization activities as assigned.
- Safely operate or become certified to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse material handling equipment.
- Maintain warehouse organization, housekeeping, aisle cleanliness, and staging area standards.
- Greet and assist customers, drivers, vendors, and fellow employees in a professional, respectful, and customer-focused manner.
- Follow all Company policies, OSHA requirements, and warehouse operational procedures at all times.

- Ability to identify and communicate operational concerns, inventory discrepancies, and safety issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to safely operate or become certified to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, reliability, and consistent work performance required.
- Experience with plumbing, PVF, industrial, warehouse, or distribution products preferred but not required.
- Must be insurable by Company Vehicle Insurance.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent, or two or more years of relevant work experience required.
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and move throughout warehouse facilities for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 70 pounds or more safely.
- Must be able to safely operate warehouse equipment and navigate warehouse aisles, storage racks, loading docks, and staging areas.
- Must be able to work in seasonally hot or cold warehouse and outdoor conditions.
- Ability to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
- Must be able to obtain and retain DOT Medical Certification to drive company vehicles.
