Project Manager
Description
Just imagine your future with us…
At Aurecon, we see the future through a very different lens. Do you?
Innovation, eminence and digital are at the heart of everything we do. Are you excited about the future?
Are you driven by the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and complex projects around the world and to learn from the best? We are.
Diversity is at the core of everything we do. We work together to create a culture based on respect, trust, and inclusiveness. Our differences are what fuel our creativity.
What will you do?
The Project Manager owns a portfolio of road design projects from award through to Issued for Construction (IFC), delivered from Manila for SRAPC in Sydney.
SRAPC is a long-term maintenance and upgrade contract for Transport for NSW’s Sydney road network, with Aurecon providing design services to Connect Sydney. Projects range from concept through to detailed design and include road widening, intersection upgrades, drainage and culvert remediation, pavement rehabilitation, bridge safety improvements, slope remediation and road safety improvements.
The portfolio covers two types of work: recurring, maintenance-driven design packages (known on the contract as tactical works) and larger, standalone upgrades (special projects).
The Manila team already leads design management on SRAPC and has delivered design work under the contract for four years. This role adds project management capability to the team. The Project Manager owns the commercial, client and delivery aspects of the projects, with sufficient civil and roads technical depth to understand the design, coordinate the different civil disciplines, respond to client questions and constructively challenge the team.
- Project delivery: Own each project from award to IFC, including scope management, program, resourcing, budget and submissions
- Technical oversight: Stay across the design of every project, explain the design to the client, and understand how the design achieves the client's objectives. The Design Manager coordinates the design team; the Project Manager brings the technical judgement to lead the project
- Client liaison: Prepare for and lead client meetings, present design outcomes with confidence, and propose solutions to their questions
- Project schedule and risks: Keep the program current and flag high-risk tasks, dependencies and delays early so the client is told on time
- Quality: Ensure the Quality Management Plan (QMP) is followed on every deliverable
- Commercial: Deliver forecasts and payment claims by their due dates, raise variations, and monitor commercial performance weekly
- Proposals: Coordinate fee proposals and bring in the right people for technical inputs
Bring energy to the team by asking questions, sharing ideas and taking ownership of agreed tasks. We know today’s complex challenges can only be solved through bringing together diverse teams of people from across our business, so there will be opportunities for you to apply your skills and creativity to projects in other geographies and markets.
What can you bring to the team?
