Project Manager — Brand Protection Systems
Salary: $35,000 – $47,000 per month
About the role
You will serve as the single point of contact between the delivery team and the client, owning day-to-day delivery of the whole programme — platform, security-label products, people and service levels. A Project Director oversees delivery at a higher level; this role runs the team on the ground.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the single point of contact to the client; attend project meetings and provide meeting/secretarial support.
- Plan, control and administer the project day-to-day; ensure sufficient resources, track progress and deliver every milestone on time.
- Ensure all deliverables — security labels/marks, software releases and authentication devices — are produced to the required quality and delivered on schedule.
- Perform quality checks on all deliverables received or manufactured before acceptance.
- Identify deviations from the agreed project plan, recommend remedial actions, and escalate major infrastructure or scope changes for client approval.
- Produce work-progress, design/plan/schedule and status reports; respond to all reasonable client enquiries promptly.
- Supervise, assign and review the project team; maintain succession plans and backup personnel for all key positions, including cross-training of team members.
- Plan, arrange and oversee training programmes for client staff, industry stakeholders and end users — onboarding for new users, refresher courses and specialist/technical training for IT and operations staff; ensure materials are kept up-to-date, confirmed by the client before distribution and delivered in both English and Chinese.
- Monitor training effectiveness (feedback surveys, quizzes, post-training evaluations) and ensure attendance, completion and feedback records are maintained for audit and quality-assurance purposes.
- Support the team in meeting contractual service levels (system uptime, incident response/resolution times) and audit requirements.
About you
- Degree or above in Computer Science / Engineering / Science.
- At least 11 years' experience in the IT industry, of which at least 6 years in IT project management.
- Proven track record managing end-to-end system integration projects with government or large enterprise clients.
- Strong command of project management disciplines: planning, critical path, risk/issue management, quality control and resource control.
- Good command of English and written Chinese; able to work on-site in Hong Kong for the full contract period.
- Familiar with audit, information-security and personal-data-privacy compliance in delivery projects.
- Ability to represent the project with senior client stakeholders and, when required, provide project evidence for official proceedings.
- Experience with tendered service contracts and SLA/KPI regimes (preferred).
- Experience in anti-counterfeit, serialization or brand-protection solutions (preferred).
