Your Opportunity

Our Saskatoon office is seeking a Project Manager with experience managing complex projects across Healthcare, Defense, Commercial, Retail, Aviation, Transportation, Education, and Justice sectors to join our multidisciplinary Buildings team. The successful candidate will lead projects from planning and design through construction and closeout while delivering exceptional client service and fostering strong project team collaboration.

Your Key Responsibilities

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects of varying size and complexity, developing solutions to project challenges in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and leading projects to successful completion while achieving client satisfaction, quality, schedule, budget, and risk management objectives. The individual will interact internally throughout the organization with staff at all levels as well as externally with clients, consultants, contractors, approval agencies, and project stakeholders. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Personally pursue and serve as Project Manager on projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and client satisfaction in accordance with Stantec's Project Management Framework.
  • Lead the development and execution of project execution plans, work plans, resource plans, communication plans, and risk management plans.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Assume responsibility, in partnership with the assigned Principal, for technical and design excellence throughout project delivery.
  • Act as Stantec's primary project representative and maintain strong client relationships throughout all phases of project execution.
  • Manage project contracts, amendments, and additional service requests and ensure project documentation is maintained in accordance with Stantec processes and procedures.
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions necessary to maintain schedule, budget, quality, and profitability objectives.
  • Lead project meetings, design reviews, client meetings, workshops, and presentations while ensuring stakeholders remain informed of project developments and decisions.
  • Capture lessons learned and promote knowledge sharing across project teams, peers, and clients.
  • Support and actively promote Stantec's Safer Together Program and quality management initiatives.
  • Evaluate and manage client expectations, identify opportunities to enhance client satisfaction, and build lasting client relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services and collaborate with all Stantec disciplines to maximize value for clients and projects.
  • Participate in business development activities including proposal development, project scoping, fee development, and client relationship management.
