We are looking to hire a Project Manager with Chinese Proficiency to support our client in Singapore which is a top global investment bank. The incumbent will be overseeing the delivery of technology projects in regions including China / Taiwan, ensuring business requirements are met and completed on time, within budget. The incumbent needs to be able to speak Mandarin to interact and work with stakeholders in Taiwan / China Regions.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Ensure clear and consistent communication regarding project status, risks, and issues.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of project managers, developers, and other technical staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with project delivery. Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. Implement best practices for software development and project management.
- Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints. Track expenses and report on budget performance.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and partners as necessary. Manage contracts and ensure vendor deliverables meet project requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous improvement in project delivery processes. Implement lessons learned and best practices from previous projects.
- Work with the Global Agile and DevOps teams to ensure that successful delivery of APAC Regional Solutions.
- Articulate the business and technical value of solutions and products to senior managers and technical decision makers.
- Leads and coordinates routines to support delivery (for example, kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates, etc.)
- Manages coordination of delivery and dependencies across multiple teams and multiple timezones.
- Provides status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks, issues, and schedule.
- Supports resource planning for delivery and execution.
Requirements:
- Must-have Language: Chinese (Mandarin) & English.
- Possess ability and confidence to speak Mandarin in a professional/work setting
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in project management, with at least 2-3 years within the Banking Technology sector.
- Possess experience in payments applications / processes
- Experience in past regulatory initiatives or payments / clearing project will be an advantage
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities. Ability to analyze project data and make informed decisions.
- Good knowledge and working experience with Agile software development methodology.
- Ability and experience to lead projects with direct reports on special initiatives.
- Collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application. Entail regular interaction with global initiative technology managers and team leads.
