Project Manager - Clinical Technology, Medical Devices and Equipment

Summary

This role involves leading discovery and planning phases for a national health technology program focused on clinical and medical equipment. The project manager will translate complex technical findings into actionable investment and implementation plans while working with clinical specialists.

Be based in either Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch - other locations considered.

A national health technology programme is seeking experienced Project Managers to lead discovery and planning work across complex clinical technology environments.

We are looking for strong project management and business analysis capability, combined with the credibility to engage with people who work with clinical, laboratory or medical equipment.

  • Lead discovery phase across complex technical environments with medical devices

  • Bring strong business analysis and ability to work with incomplete data

  • Speak confidently with clinical, laboratory and medical device specialists

  • Assess information, identify risks and develop practical priorities

  • Engage vendors and stakeholders to establish remediation or replacement options

  • Translate complex findings into clear investment and implementation plans

The successful contractor will be comfortable operating in an environment where the full scope is not yet known, bringing structure to ambiguity and turning complex information into practical, actionable outcomes.

We are particularly interested in Project Managers with experience across clinical technology, laboratory equipment, medical devices, healthcare, clinical engineering, health IT or related technical environments.
