Project Manager – College Projects and Operation
The Project Manager – College Projects and Operations supports the Dean and College of Sport Science in the planning, coordination, and delivery of strategic initiatives, academic projects, and operational activities within the College. The role ensures the effective execution of College priorities, the smooth functioning of academic operations, and alignment with University policies and external regulatory requirements.
This position serves as a central coordination point for College-level projects, partnerships, quality assurance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
College of Sport Science projects & strategic initiatives
- Lead and manage College-level strategic and operational projects from planning through delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving academic groups/departments, central university units, and external partners.
- Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables, and report progress to the Dean of the College of Sport Science.
Academic operations & program support
- Support academic program development, review, and implementation within the College.
- Coordinate accreditation, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance processes relevant to the College.
- Assist with academic scheduling, resource planning, and operational readiness for new and existing programs.
Partnerships & external engagement
- Manage and support College-level projects with government entities, ministries, industry partners, and international institutions.
- Coordinate faculty engagement, capacity-building initiatives, student mobility programs, and collaborative activities.
- Serve as a liaison between the College and external stakeholders for approved projects.
Governance, processes & systems
- Strengthen College governance frameworks, policies, and standard operating procedures in alignment with University requirements.
- Improve systems, workflows, and documentation to enhance operational efficiency and accountability.
- Support data collection, reporting, and performance monitoring at the College level.
Qualification & experience
- Master’s degree (completed or near completion) in a relevant field.
- Significant experience in higher education project management, academic operations, or program administration.
- Demonstrated experience working with government entities, accreditation bodies, or international education partners.
- Experience in managing international projects.
- Strong understanding of academic governance, quality assurance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly process- and systems-oriented, with a strong focus on delivery and outcomes.
