About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role is ideal for a construction professional who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, clients, and project teams in a fast-paced environment.

The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction, estimating handoff, and procurement through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, owners, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal project teams.
• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation.
• Track project costs, commitments, billing, and overall financial performance.
• Lead regular project meetings and communicate project status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders.
• Identify potential project issues and develop solutions before they impact cost or schedule.
• Negotiate and manage subcontractor and vendor relationships.
• Monitor construction progress and coordinate with the Superintendent to ensure project milestones are met.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and represent the company professionally throughout the project.
• Oversee project closeout, punch lists, warranties, and turnover documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety requirements, and company standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Proven experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, plans, specifications, scheduling, and cost management.
• Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency with construction project management and scheduling software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is , but equivalent experience will be considered.
