Project Manager, Commercial Operations (Sales & Marketing)

Job Summary:

The Project Manager, Commercial Operations (Sales & Marketing) will support the Commercial Program Manager inside the PMO in coordinating product launch projects and promotions to ensuring timely completion of projected tasks & budgets. This role is responsible for tracking project milestones, facilitating communication across departments, and gathering essential data to support Pro Forma reviews and other key project elements supporting Commercially driven programs and higher tier projects. This position requires a proactive approach to project management, excellent organizational skills, and an eye for detail to help achieve smooth product introductions aligned with company goals.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists the Program Manager in establishing and tracking project schedules, ensuring project tasks and milestones align with deadlines for retail launches.
• Monitors and updates Asana tasks, working closely with cross-functional teams to support milestone achievements, including new introductions, promotional events, and Commercial continuous improvement operating processes.
• Collects and organizes information necessary for Pro Forma submissions, including COGS data, pricing, and required marketing or sales samples.
• Participates in ideation and planning discussions with Marketing and Sales, ensuring clear communication around program and project specifications and requirements.
• Helps to manage new workflows for tasks requiring complex development, supporting each phase of the project lifecycle.
• Assists in coordinating with Finance to prepare basic analyses for new program and project cases and project R&D evaluations.
• Prepares weekly status updates and assists in drafting summary reports for management review.
• Attends and contributes to weekly PMO meetings as well as Commercial operating meetings to add value via professional project management principles.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Basic proficiency in Asana or similar project management software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with multiple departments.
• Understanding of product development and launch processes, including cross-functional project management.
• Ability to support data collection and preliminary analysis for financial evaluations.
• Familiarity with Agile project management principles is a plus.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Project Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in project management, ideally within product or consumer goods industries.
• Experience supporting Commercial launch initiatives in a cross-functional setting is preferred.
• Background in the cannabis or other regulated industry is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
• Capable of repetitive hand and arm motions as well as extended periods of typing.
• Capable of looking at a screen for extended periods or entire shifts.
• Some travel may be required to attend cross-functional team meetings or support product launch events.

Work Schedule (Exempt):

This is a full-time, exempt position. The role requires flexibility to work the hours necessary to meet business needs, which may include extended hours, weekends, and holidays. Work schedules and expectations may be adjusted based on operational priorities and organizational demands.
