Project Manager, Consulting Delivery
Description
Position: Project Manager, Consulting Delivery
Company: Blue Ops
Organizational Alignment: Transformation & Delivery (M&A Analytics, Quality of Earnings, FinOps)
Location: Minneapolis, MN
ABOUT BLUE OPS
Blue Ops is a professional services firm operating at the intersection of finance, data, technology, and private equity. We partner with middle-market private equity firms, investment banks, and portfolio companies to solve complex business challenges.
Across our core practices (Finance & Accounting Operations, Data Analytics, M&A Analytics, Quality of Earnings, and Transformation & Delivery), we combine technical expertise with hands-on execution to help clients make confident investment decisions, improve business performance, navigate transactions, and create lasting enterprise value.
Our clients operate in high-stakes environments where accuracy, speed, and execution matter.
WHO WORKS AT BLUE OPS:
We're not consultants who simply assess problems and deliver recommendations. We're hands-on problem solvers who get into the details, work alongside our clients, and take ownership of delivering tangible outcomes.
We combine the sophistication of a larger consulting firm with the agility, accountability, and personal investment of a specialized team. Our people are curious, collaborative, adaptable, and motivated by solving challenging problems and making a meaningful impact.
THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager, Consulting Delivery to support client engagements across our M&A Analytics, Quality of Earnings, and Finance & Accounting Operations practices. You will embed with consulting teams to turn client objectives into clear plans, coordinate execution, and help deliver work on time and within scope and budget.
Our engagements vary in scope, pace, and complexity, from transaction-related analytics and financial diligence to finance operations onboarding and ongoing client support. You'll bring the right level of structure to each engagement, keeping people, priorities, deliverables, and deadlines aligned without adding unnecessary process.
You'll work with business development and practice leadership as projects take shape, helping define scope, timelines, resourcing, and delivery expectations. Across multiple concurrent engagements, you'll lead the project management process from kickoff through closeout, including plans, coordination, progress tracking, risk management, stakeholder communication, and change control.
Success requires strong judgment and a practical understanding of how consulting engagements run. You won't own the team's technical analysis or client advice, but you will know when to ask questions, challenge assumptions, surface dependencies, and help teams address delivery risks before they become larger problems.
Just as importantly, you'll be a trusted partner to our consultants, practice leaders, and clients. You'll lead through relationships, sound judgment, and earned trust, bringing a hands-on, consultative approach to difficult conversations and the flexibility to adapt to each team's needs rather than enforce process for its own sake.
As one of the first members of our emerging Transformation & Delivery practice, you'll help shape practical project management approaches across Blue Ops, improving delivery consistency while preserving the distinct ways our consulting practices serve their clients.
