The Project Manager will lead complex new product development programs within the consumer maternal care space, guiding initiatives from early concept through retail and direct-to-consumer launch. This role brings together industrial design, engineering, marketing, supply chain, and customer experience teams to deliver products that address real-world needs. You will translate business and technical requirements into clear plans, priorities, budgets, and timelines. The position plays a central role in identifying risks, removing obstacles, and keeping cross-functional teams aligned throughout development. You will also incorporate customer insights into product decisions and help ensure launch readiness across packaging, retail, and DTC channels. Strong supplier and contract manufacturer coordination will be essential to achieving high-quality, on-time delivery. Accountabilities:
- Manage complex cross-functional consumer product programs, including new product development, packaging, and sustaining initiatives from concept through launch.
- Partner with industrial design, engineering, marketing, and supply chain teams to define product requirements, priorities, scope, budgets, and timelines.
- Act as a force multiplier for functional leaders by identifying risks, assessing potential impacts, resolving issues, and proactively removing project obstacles.
- Incorporate voice-of-customer insights and feedback from mothers throughout the product development and decision-making process.
- Coordinate packaging, retail, and direct-to-consumer launch readiness activities, including go-to-market schedules and cross-functional launch reviews.
- Develop clear recommendations, build stakeholder alignment, and facilitate timely decision-making across engineering, marketing, and operations teams.
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to manage supplier and contract manufacturer relationships and support on-time, on-quality delivery.
- Track program progress, dependencies, risks, and key decisions to maintain momentum and ensure successful execution across the product lifecycle.
- You have at least 6 years of professional experience, including 3+ years in project or program management within consumer products or consumer electronics.
- You hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, or have equivalent relevant professional experience.
- You have experience taking consumer hardware or CPG products through the complete lifecycle, from concept development to retail or DTC launch and sustaining activities.
- You have successfully partnered with marketing, industrial design, engineering, and supply chain teams to deliver products on time and within budget.
- Experience in maternal health, baby products, wellness, or a related consumer category is a plus.
- You are comfortable using project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SmartSheet, or similar platforms.
- You can communicate complex technical challenges and solutions clearly to diverse stakeholders at different levels of an organization.
- You demonstrate strong ownership, urgency, accountability, and the ability to proactively drive projects forward.
- You bring an agile approach to project management and are comfortable adapting plans as priorities and requirements evolve.
- You have a strong understanding of project management methodologies, software tools, and best practices.
- PMP or PgMP certification is preferred.
