Project Manager - Content Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager - Content Operations based in India.

This role is an opportunity to drive the operational excellence behind a rapidly scaling educational content ecosystem.
You will coordinate projects, documentation, publishing workflows, and cross-functional initiatives across content teams.
The position combines project management, stakeholder coordination, content operations, and quality control.
You will help ensure that hundreds of content assets move efficiently from creation through their final publishing stage.
You’ll also coordinate interns and vendors while maintaining high standards for accuracy, consistency, and platform readiness.
Working remotely, you’ll collaborate with teams across India and internationally, with occasional travel required.
The role is ideal for an organized, proactive professional who enjoys creating structure and keeping complex initiatives moving forward.

• Maintain a centralized, well-organized repository covering partner interactions, agreements, project documentation, and project statuses, ensuring continuity when team members or consultants transition.
• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned Jira requests, triaging and routing tickets to the appropriate Math, Science, or Localization leads and ensuring deadlines are tracked and met.
• Own the final stage of content publishing, including video descriptions, SEO optimization, thumbnails, timestamps, and other platform-readiness requirements.
• Coordinate interns and external vendors performing content operations tasks, providing clear direction and quality control while allowing specialist content teams to remain focused on content creation.
• Drive cross-functional projects involving multiple teams by establishing timelines, following up on deliverables, identifying blockers, and ensuring accountability across stakeholders.
• Maintain alignment with established platform and publishing standards as the content library scales to more than 1,300 videos.
• Monitor project progress, surface risks and dependencies, and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
• Support operational improvements that make content workflows more efficient, scalable, consistent, and resilient.
• Maintain strong documentation and knowledge-sharing practices so project context and operational decisions remain accessible to relevant teams.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in project management, content operations, program coordination, publishing operations, or a similar cross-functional role.
• Strong organizational and project-tracking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, stakeholders, and workflows simultaneously.
• Experience coordinating projects across teams where responsibilities and decision-making authority are distributed.
• Strong communication and follow-up skills, with the confidence to drive accountability without direct managerial authority.
• Experience working with project-management or ticketing tools such as Jira, along with strong proficiency in documentation and collaboration platforms.
• High attention to detail and a strong understanding of content quality, publishing workflows, SEO, metadata, and digital content hygiene.
• Experience managing interns, contractors, vendors, or other distributed contributors is an advantage.
• Ability to identify process gaps, resolve operational issues, and introduce practical improvements as workflows scale.
• Comfortable working in a remote environment with distributed and potentially international teams.
• Proactive, dependable, adaptable, and capable of working independently while maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and functional stakeholders.
• Experience in education, digital content, technology, media, or nonprofit environments would be beneficial.
