Project Manager

Salary: $100 - $111 p.h.

The Opportunity
An opportunity exists for an experienced ICT Project Manager to lead the delivery of a strategic fleet technology transformation project. This 12-month contract will establish the foundations for a new enterprise technology capability by leading project governance, business requirements, market engagement, pilot delivery and implementation planning. Working closely with ICT, operational, procurement and business stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a solution that enhances fleet visibility, safety, compliance and operational performance across a large and diverse fleet.

The Role
In this role, you will lead the successful establishment and delivery of the project by:

• Establishing project governance, delivery controls, reporting, schedules and stakeholder engagement frameworks.
• Coordinating business requirements across operational, ICT and corporate stakeholders to define technology capability and business needs.
• Managing market engagement activities including RFIs, vendor evaluations, procurement planning and solution assessments.
• Leading planning and coordination of a Proof of Concept and pilot, including readiness, installation, communications, training and support.
• Managing project risks, issues, budgets, dependencies, schedules, governance and benefits realisation throughout delivery.
• Providing clear reporting and decision-ready recommendations to senior stakeholders and project governance groups.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring proven experience delivering ICT-enabled business transformation projects within complex operational environments.

• Demonstrated experience managing medium-scale ICT projects from establishment through to implementation.
• Strong project management capability across scope, schedule, governance, budget, risk and stakeholder management.
• Experience leading business requirements gathering, solution evaluation, procurement activities and vendor engagement.
• Ability to engage effectively with operational teams, ICT specialists, executives, procurement and external suppliers.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into practical delivery outcomes.
• Experience working within large, complex or government environments will be highly regarded.
