Project Manager
Summary
Project Manager leading 2–3 Agile teams, coaching Scrum/Kanban practices, removing blockers, and tracking delivery progress for software development projects.
We have a client seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to serve as a servant leader and facilitator for 2–3 Agile teams. This role is critical in ensuring the effective implementation of Scrum and Kanban principles while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and problem-solver who prioritizes team success above all else. You will coach teams, remove impediments, and enable high performance through empowerment and process excellence.

- Location: Richmond, VA
- Work Arrangement: Onsite
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required
- Experience as a Scrum Master or Business Analyst preferred
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, values, and frameworks
- Solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts
- Experience working with development platforms and technologies
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos)
- Coach teams on Scrum/Kanban best practices and backlog management
- Remove impediments and enable team self-organization
- Track and communicate team velocity and delivery progress
- Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support backlog refinement, prioritization, and defect resolution
- Drive team performance metrics and continuous improvement
