Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to plan and manage project and release activities across platform components and customer-facing products. In this role, you will operate with independence, drive agile delivery and ensure programs stay aligned with organizational objectives from inception through successful delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage project/release activities across a group of platform components and customer facing products in a coordinated way from inception through successful delivery
  • Alignment of dependent organizations and removal or mitigation of all release blocking issues
  • Support Release Trains and drive PI (Program Increment) activities
  • Collection of project, release and train metrics to provide insights and share lessons learned
  • Deep diving to understand the platforms capabilities and underlying technologies
  • Operate across development, product and operations support overseeing the gaps between teams, processes and systems, while removing blocking issues that would introduce risk to a project and release
  • Facilitate a variety of release ceremonies including change review board, release status, release readiness reviews, go/no go, implementation plan reviews and release retrospectives
  • Regular review of metrics to proactively ensure the program stays aligned with organization objectives
  • Application of continuous improvement methodologies across teams through data driven decision-making
  • Relationship building, partnering with and influencing dependent teams while commanding the respect of individuals across the organization

Requirements

  • 10-12 years of experience in software development
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with independence and autonomy
  • Experience breaking down problems, organizing work, planning sprints and delivering technical programs in agile delivery models (scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Agile practices with strong understanding of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and SDLC (software development life cycle)
  • Strong background in Technical Project and/or Program Management
  • Proven track record of data driven decision-making
  • BS in engineering, computer science or related discipline

Nice to have

  • Expertise in Payments, IaaS and PaaS
  • Familiarity with serverless technology, CI/CD and NoSQL databases
  • Knowledge of microservices APIs and distributed systems operations in a DevOps model
