Project Manager – High-End Residential
Project Manager - High-End Residential
Enclave Remodeling
Newport Beach, CA | Full-Time | Field-Based
About Enclave
Enclave Remodeling is a boutique design-build firm specializing in high-end residential remodels, additions, and whole-home renovations across coastal Orange County. Our clients are discerning homeowners who expect exceptional craftsmanship, precise execution, and a white-glove experience from first meeting to final walkthrough.
We intentionally take on a select number of projects so each one gets the attention it deserves, and we run them on defined systems, processes, and SOPs. We're growing, and we're looking for a Project Manager to grow with us for the long term.
The Role
You'll own our projects from kickoff through closeout: schedule, budget, quality, and the client relationship. You'll report directly to the owner and work alongside our project coordinator and a trusted network of subcontractors and vendors. This isn't a role for someone who passes along emails and waits. It's for someone who takes responsibility for the outcome and makes sure it's right.
Who Thrives Here
-
Project Ownership - Takes full responsibility for project outcomes and follows issues through to resolution.
-
Client Leadership - Builds trust with discerning homeowners through proactive communication, professionalism, responsiveness, and transparency.
-
Construction Expertise - Strong understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing, plans, specifications, inspections, and quality standards across all trades.
-
Financial & Schedule Management - Effectively manages budgets, costs, schedules, procurement, scope changes, and change orders.
-
Quality Control - Recognizes exceptional workmanship and catches deficiencies before they become larger problems.
-
Subcontractor Leadership - Builds strong trade relationships while holding subcontractors accountable to schedule, quality, and company standards.
-
Proactive Problem-Solving - Identifies potential issues early, develops solutions, and keeps projects moving without unnecessary escalation.
What You'll Do
- Lead high-end residential remodels, additions, and whole-home renovations from kickoff through final walkthrough and closeout.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact, providing consistent updates on progress, schedule, decisions, and budget.
- Build and maintain project schedules and coordinate trades, materials, inspections, and milestones.
- Create and manage project budgets, track costs, and oversee change orders.
- Manage projects in Buildertrend, including schedules, daily logs, budgets, selections, change orders, and client communication.
- Coordinate and hold subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers accountable for quality and schedule.
- Conduct ongoing quality-control inspections across framing, plumbing, electrical, tile, millwork, finishes, and other trades.
- Review plans, scopes, and selections to identify conflicts before they affect the field.
- Manage procurement, material orders, deliveries, and long-lead or custom items.
- Coordinate permits, inspections, and communication with designers, architects, engineers, and the city.
- Follow and improve company SOPs and support the development of the Project Coordinator.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience managing high-end residential construction projects, including custom homes, whole-home remodels, or significant additions.
- Proven experience working directly with high-expectation or affluent residential clients.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, sequencing, codes, inspections, and quality standards.
- A strong eye for quality and detail, and the technical knowledge to tell good work from great work
- Hands-on skill with budget creation, cost tracking, change orders, and Buildertrend (or a similar platform)
- Excellent communication and customer service; responsive and proactive
- Able to hold subcontractors to schedule and standards while keeping strong working relationships
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
- Stable work history and interest in building a long-term career with one company.
- Spanish speaking is a plus.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to regularly visit active job sites.

Full-time, salaried position with core hours of Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM. Flexibility is expected for occasional early starts, later finishes, and time-sensitive client or jobsite matters.
