The impact you’ll make
The Spares Business Operations Analyst serves as a strategic partner to the Spares Planning Operations Executive and supports the Spares Supply Chain leadership team through performance management, operational analytics, and business transformation initiatives.This role is responsible for establishing visibility, governance, and accountability across key Spares Planning performance metrics, with a primary focus on inventory effectiveness and spares availability.The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with influence, communication, and change management skills. They must be capable of driving alignment across multiple stakeholders, facilitating data-driven decision making, and providing leadership with clear insights into business performance and operational risk.
What you’ll do
Own the reporting, governance, and continuous improvement of key Spares Planning performance metrics.
Establish consistent KPI definitions, measurement methodologies, and performance targets across the organization.
Monitor and communicate performance trends related to:
Spares availability
Service levels
Inventory health
Inventory Turns
Bin level performanceIdentify performance gaps and facilitate action plans with metric owners to drive improvement.
Lead regular business reviews that assess operational performance against established targets and commitments.
Ensure leadership has timely visibility into key risks, opportunities, and performance trends.
Business Partnership & Change Leadership
- Serve as a key business partner to the Global Product Planning organization.
- Collaborate with demand planners to identify drivers of performance and support sustainable operational improvements.
- Facilitate alignment across Planning, Supply Chain, Operations, and Business stakeholders.
- Support organizational change initiatives related to processes, metrics, planning capabilities, and operational excellence.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and performance accountability.
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Finance, Data Analytics, Operations, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain operations, planning analytics, business operations, performance management, or related fields.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and business intelligence tools.
- Experience building executive dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize large data sets into actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated success influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience within semiconductor equipment, service supply chain, capital equipment, or high-tech manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to spare parts planning, aftermarket operations, or service supply chain organizations.
- Knowledge of ERP and planning systems such as SAP, Kinaxis, Spares Planning Tools or similar platforms.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
