Project Manager, IT Infrastructure Upgrade (Banking)

Summary

Oversee a banking IT infrastructure upgrade, coordinating stakeholders, vendors, and timelines to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth deployment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of an IT infrastructure upgrade project within a banking environment.

  • Act as the key point of contact between client stakeholders, consultants, and third-party vendors.

  • Develop and manage project scope, timeline, resources, risks, and issues.

  • Drive project governance, reporting, and steering committee meetings.

  • Oversee design, testing, deployment, and transition phases to ensure quality delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with bank IT standards, project methodologies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Support change management and effective stakeholder communication.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field.

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience within a banking IT environment.

  • Proven experience managing end-to-end infrastructure upgrade projects.

  • Strong Waterfall project management experience.

  • Solid stakeholder and team management skills.

  • Familiarity with banking governance, controls, and documentation standards.

  • Consulting experience is an advantage but not mandatory.

  • Good communication skills in Japanese are advantageous to liaise with Japanese stakeholders and clients but not mandatory.
