Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead contract operations supporting a major federal healthcare initiative focused on improving recognition and support for organizations and individuals serving Veterans, families, and caregivers.
You will act as the primary day-to-day contractor lead, coordinating a multidisciplinary team and managing a high-volume review workflow.
The position combines structured project management, quality assurance, performance monitoring, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
You will establish repeatable processes, maintain clear accountability, and ensure work is completed accurately and within required timelines.
The role requires close collaboration with government stakeholders while maintaining clear distinctions between contractor recommendations and government decision-making authority.
You will also use data, lessons learned, and process improvement techniques to strengthen operational efficiency and service quality.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced federal program manager who thrives in documentation-intensive, deadline-driven environments.

  • Facilitate recurring team meetings, reviewer calibration sessions, stakeholder discussions, and leadership briefings.
  • Coordinate effectively with government stakeholders while maintaining appropriate distinctions between contractor recommendations and government approval authority.

    • Experience preparing executive-ready status reports, work plans, dashboards, and decision-support materials.
    • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams while maintaining accuracy, traceability, and document control.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong commitment to client service and stakeholder satisfaction.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint, or comparable collaboration platforms.

    • PMP certification is preferred.
    • Experience supporting federal healthcare, Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, or related government programs is highly desirable.
    • Experience managing eligibility, compliance, credentialing, recognition, grants, claims, or other document-intensive review processes is advantageous.
    • Familiarity with Lean process improvement, workflow automation, performance dashboards, or quality-management methodologies is a plus.
