Project Manager

Salary: Upto $900 p/d

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a technology business on a 3 month contract, overseeing customer-facing software implementations and commercial delivery projects through to go-live.

This opportunity would suit a commercially minded Project Manager with vendor-side experience across SaaS, payments, software reselling, systems integration or technology consulting. Experience working within a medium-sized technology business or consultancy would be particularly relevant.

The focus is on strong project management and delivery ownership rather than hands-on technical expertise. You'll need a solid understanding of project effort, budgets, resources, timelines and overall complexity, alongside the confidence to manage vendors, customer stakeholders and delivery commitments.
The business needs someone who can apply practical judgement, take ownership and get up to speed quickly, with minimal ramp-up time.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end technology implementations from initiation and planning through to delivery and go-live.
• Take ownership of project scope, effort estimates, budgets, resources, timelines and delivery milestones.
• Manage Statements of Work (SOWs) and delivery against agreed commercial commitments, including time and materials (T&M) and fixed-price engagements.
• Coordinate customer stakeholders, vendors and internal delivery teams to ensure projects progress as planned.
• Monitor project costs, resources and timelines, identifying risks and resolving issues before they affect delivery.
• Manage scope changes, dependencies and competing priorities, understanding their impact on budget and delivery commitments.
• Communicate confidently with stakeholders, manage expectations and hold relevant parties accountable for agreed deliverables.
• Apply sound commercial judgement and a practical approach to keeping projects on track through to successful implementation.

About You

• Proven Project Management experience within a SaaS provider, payments business, software reseller/VAR, systems integrator or technology consultancy.
• Strong vendor-side experience delivering technology projects for external customers.
• Commercial understanding of project effort, budgets, resource allocation, timelines and delivery complexity.
• Experience managing SOWs and T&M and/or fixed-price projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage software implementations through to go-live.
• Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage vendors, customer expectations and delivery challenges.
• A credible, assertive and pragmatic approach, with the confidence to make decisions and take ownership of outcomes.
• Able to work autonomously, prioritise effectively and step into an existing project environment with minimal support.
• PMP certification or an equivalent project management qualification will be highly regarded.

Please note: This role specifically requires vendor-side technology delivery experience. Candidates whose backgrounds are primarily internal IT or traditional PMO are unlikely to be suitable.
