Project Manager - Leading Law Firm
Summary
This Project Manager role involves leading infrastructure and cloud transformation projects, including Azure migrations, within a leading law firm. The position requires an Agile-certified professional to manage end-to-end project delivery, budgets, and cross-team initiatives.
Project Manager – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
JS Careers are partnering with a leading law firm for a Project Manager role supporting an infrastructure and cloud transformation programme.
The ideal candidate is an Agile-certified project delivery professional (potentially an infrastructure & cloud specialist, or a business analyst who has stepped into project management) with a broad skill set in Agile ways of working.
The role:
You'll sit within a Project Portfolio team, working primarily alongside the infrastructure function while also picking up cross-team initiatives spanning finance systems and other management systems. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who thrives on breadth over depth and enjoys frequent collaboration with a hands-on manager.
You'll be responsible for:
Planning, leading, and delivering projects end-to-end using Agile principles, with a primary focus on infrastructure and cloud initiatives (including an active on-premises to Azure migration).
Identifying resource requirements, resolving constraints, and tracking KPIs, milestones, and deliverables.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across IT, business leadership, and external vendors.
Managing project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting.
Identifying and mitigating project risks, and ensuring compliance with governance standards.
Supporting broader initiatives such as case management and finance system rollouts, and contributing to AI-enabled process improvements.
What we're looking for:
Agile certification such as AgilePM, SAFe or PRINCE2 Agile is essential.
A minimum of 5 years' demonstrated experience delivering projects in an Agile environment.
Background in a regulated industry — legal, financial services, healthcare, or government experience highly regarded.
Infrastructure and/or cloud project experience is a strong advantage, particularly candidates with Azure migration exposure.
Candidates moving from a BAU infrastructure, cloud, or DevOps background into project delivery are welcomed.
Interest or experience in AI-enabled delivery practices would be well regarded.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Sydney, with a high likelihood of extension.
