As the Senior Project Manager, you will lead Phase 1 discovery and current-state assessment activities, establishing the foundation for a successful data centre decommissioning programme. You'll work closely with infrastructure teams, operational stakeholders, and senior leadership to identify dependencies, risks, and migration considerations that will inform the programme roadmap.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the discovery and assessment phase across an infrastructure estate.
- Document the current-state environment, including infrastructure, dependencies, and operational considerations.
- Develop a structured assessment of risks, sequencing requirements, and key migration dependencies.
- Facilitate engagement across technical and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and visibility throughout the discovery phase.
- Provide programme-level insights and recommendations that support the decommissioning roadmap.
- Position the programme for a seamless transition into future migration and decommissioning delivery phases.
You will bring proven experience delivering complex infrastructure transformation initiatives and be comfortable engaging with both technical specialists and senior stakeholders.
Essential Experience
- Demonstrated success managing data centre migration, consolidation, or decommissioning programmes of comparable scale.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) environments and associated workload dependencies.
- Experience assessing and documenting complex infrastructure environments across multiple technologies and platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Available to commence in early November
- Christchurch-based, or able to work on-site in Christchurch for the duration of the engagement.
