Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead and manage projects with a focus on Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) systems. The role involves full project lifecycle responsibility, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage mechanical (ACMV) projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring alignment with project objectives
  • Oversee all aspects of project execution, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
  • Coordinate closely with consultants, main contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical submissions to guide site execution
  • Manage procurement activities to ensure timely sourcing and delivery of mechanical equipment and materials
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, including technical and site coordination challenges
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, variation orders, and testing & commissioning records
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore statutory requirements, building codes, and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations
  • Lead testing and commissioning activities for ACMV systems to ensure operational performance

Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in the Singapore construction industry, with strong exposure to ACMV systems
  • Proven experience managing mechanical or M&E projects independently
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, ACMV design, and local authority requirements
  • Good understanding of project management principles, cost control, and contract administration
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders effectively
