Leads end-to-end biopharma and life sciences facility projects in Italy, coordinating teams, budgets, and timelines from design through commissioning for pharmaceutical and biotech clients.

You will assume technical and commercial responsibility for our projects across all phases of project management. From concept development (CD) through basic design (BD) and detailed design (DD) to implementation, commissioning, and qualification, you will lead national and international projects within the Biopharma & Life Sciences sector. These projects typically involve the design, construction, and expansion of complex manufacturing facilities for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients, including Fill & Finish, Biotech, API, and related production environments. As a general planner, you will integrate all internal disciplines and coordinate interdisciplinary planning teams.

- Leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary project teams
- Acting as Project Team Leader and primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Planning and monitoring overall project progress throughout all phases
- Managing deliverables, quality, timelines, budgets, and milestones
- Project reporting to clients and internal stakeholders
- Facilitating project reviews with clients, service providers, and suppliers
- Leading team meetings covering scheduling, quality, costs, risk management, and timeline assurance measures
- Scope and change management
- Overseeing suppliers and subcontractors throughout all project phases
- Coordinating internal and external approval processes
- Coaching, mentoring, and supporting project team members
- Ensuring successful project execution in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Show your expertise
- Degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years of overall professional experience
- At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or Biotechnology industry
- Proven expertise in Biopharma & Life Sciences projects, ideally within Fill & Finish, Biotech, API, or related manufacturing environments
- Capability to assume the role of Project Team Leader and lead multidisciplinary project teams
- Experience managing projects throughout all project phases, from concept design to commissioning and qualification
- Strong client management and stakeholder communication skills
- Structured, goal-oriented, and solution-driven way of working
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced working environment
- Strong leadership skills with a proactive and hands-on mentality
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, IPMA, or PRINCE2) is an advantage
- Fluent written and spoken Italian and English
The salary range for this position is between € 59'170 and € 69'300 gross per year (full-time). The exact salary will be determined within this range based on objective and transparent criteria, including role scope, qualifications, and relevant professional experience.
