Project Manager (Mechanical)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Mechanical) to oversee the planning, managing and executing mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion. This role ensures that all mechanical works, including Air Conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) and Building Management System (BMS), are delivered safely,on schedule, within budget and in full compliance with contractual, regulatory and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Project Planning & Coordination
o Review and interpret mechanicaldrawings, specifications, and technical documents.
o Develop detailed project plans,schedules, manpower loading, and resource allocation.
o Coordinate with project clients,consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smoothproject execution.
· Technical & Site Management
o Oversee installation, testing,commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
o Conduct site inspections to ensurecompliance with design, standards, and safety regulations.
o Resolve technical issues on-site andprovide engineering solutions promptly.
o Manage material requisition,procurement, and delivery planning.
· Budget & Cost Control
o Monitor project costs, variations, andprogress claims.
o Prepare and submit technical proposals,shop drawings, and method statements.
o Ensure all works are executed withinapproved budgets and contractual conditions.
· Stakeholder Communication
o Lead progress meetings with internalteams and external stakeholders.
o Provide timely and accurate progressreports to management and clients.
o Maintain proper documentation for allproject activities and changes.
· Quality Assurance & Compliance
o Ensure mechanical works follow localcodes, regulations, and industry best practices.
o Implement QA/QC procedures and rectifynon-conformities.
o Ensure compliance with workplace safetyand health (WSH) requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education & Certifications
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience (typically 5–10 years) in mechanical project management
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of and relevant experience in electrical and/or ACMV systems and equipment, with an understanding of industry standards and codes of practice
- Familiar with local codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in project management tools and MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD/BIM is an advantage.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project teams
