PROJECT MANAGER
Summary
Oversee construction projects from planning to handover, coordinating teams, contractors, and stakeholders while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence in Singapore.
Due to major company growth and project awarded, Mutiara (FE) Pte Ltd has an immediate opening for Project Manager. We are seeking well qualified , enthusiastic people to join us for continued growth of our business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead project planning, mobilization, execution, progress recovery, testing, handover and close-out
- Translate contract requirements, approved drawings and management objectives into an integrated construction plan
- Coordinate clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers and internal departments.
- Chair coordination and progress meetings, maintain clear decisions, owners, due dates and escalation routes
- Direct Site Engineers and Supervisors, set measurable expectations, coach the team and address underperformance promptly and fairly
- Maintain effective control of programme, manpower, materials, plant, access, safety, quality, RFIs, inspections, variations and project records
- Identify risk early, present practical options and escalate matters requiring management or client decisions
- Promote a respectful, accountable and collaborative site culture in which information and credit are shared
QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Degree/Diploma in Architectural, Civil, Structural, Building, Construction, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline
- At least 5 years of relevant construction experience including 2 years managing projects or major work package; 10 years or more is preferred for complex assignments
- Demonstrated experience in programme control, design and trade coordination, safety, quality, stakeholder management and project documentation
- Able to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage consultants, subcontractors and supplier without relying on positional authority alone.
- Strong written and verbal communication, prompt response discipline, sound judgement and willingness to disclose problems early.
- Competent in Microsoft Office planning software; AutoCAD and BIM-view familiarity are advantageous
