Project Manager - Network Services
Summary
An experienced Project Manager joins Downer's Wiri-based Auckland electricity team to deliver projects across the Vector electricity network, from planning and design through construction and completion. Day to day: coordinating contractors and resources, managing budgets and forecasting, stakeholder management, and safety-focused reporting, using tools like MS Project.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Wiri-based Auckland electricity team, supporting the delivery of projects across the Vector network.
You’ll manage assigned projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, to specification, on time and within budget. You’ll coordinate resources, manage commercial performance and build trusted relationships with Vector and key delivery partners.
You’ll enjoy:
- Leading electricity projects from planning and design through to construction and completion
- Coordinating people, contractors and resources to meet project plans and customer commitments
- Managing project budgets, expenditure, revenue, forecasting and timely invoicing
- Building strong relationships with Vector, delivery teams, consultants and local authorities
- Monitoring project performance, resolving delivery risks and providing accurate reporting
- Championing Zero Harm and ensuring work meets contract, quality, regulatory and network standards.

We’re looking for a commercially focused Project Manager who delivers results, builds trusted relationships and maintains high standards of safety and quality.
You will bring:
- Proven project management experience, ideally within electricity, utilities or infrastructure
- Practical knowledge of engineering design, construction and network operating standards
- Strong commercial acumen, including project budgeting, forecasting and cost control
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors and delivery partners
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including experience with MS Project
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, organisation and time-management skills
