🧭 Navigating the position: Project Manager
The Project Manager at OneOcean is central to driving the successful delivery of our maritime software products, directly impacting our business growth and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of complex software projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key to this role is effective coordination of resources, expert risk management, and maintaining strong client relationships. By successfully managing these projects, the Project Manager will play a critical role in reinforcing OneOcean position as a leader in maritime software solutions, ensuring the delivery of innovative and efficient products that meet the evolving needs of our clients in the maritime sector.

Project Planning & Execution
- Lead comprehensive project planning, including scope definition, timeline establishment, and resource allocation.
- Implement projects adhering to the established plan, adjusting as necessary for any unforeseen changes or challenges.
- Ensure the assigned projects are delivered within the SLA.
Stakeholder Management
- Regularly communicate with key stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management, ensuring alignment and addressing any concerns or changes in project scope.
- Develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations better.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and inspire the project team. Assign tasks and responsibilities based on individual strengths and skills.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members, particularly junior staff and coordinators.
Resource Management
- Efficiently manage both human and material resources.
- Forecast resource needs and work with various departments to ensure availability.
- Handle budgeting aspects of projects and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
Quality Assurance & Risk Management
- Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Client Relationship & Communication
- Foster strong, service-oriented relationships with clients.
- Communicate project progress and developments effectively.
- Negotiate and manage client expectations and ensure their satisfaction with the project deliverables.
Continuous Improvement & Learning
- Stay abreast of the latest trends in project management, software development, and the maritime industry.
- Encourage the team to adopt innovative practices and continuous learning.
Global Collaboration
- Work across different geographical locations and cultural environments, often traveling to meet clients and teams worldwide.
- Adapt to various working environments and foster a culture of collaboration and respect.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Project Management qualification preferred.
- Strong project planning skills, structured way of working, ability to manage pressure, customer success-oriented, excellent communication and leadership skills, knowledge of OneOcean products is a plus.
