Project Manager Operations
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management (Multi Project Management)
- Management of multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on individual projects, dependent work packages/milestones, and their contribution to overarching objectives
- Efficient utilization and management of resources across various projects as well as prioritization in line with strategic goals
Project Management
- Leading complex and strategically significant projects in accordance with the PMO Operations standard as well as classical and agile project management methods
- Defining project objectives together with the project sponsor and managing schedule, budget, and resources to achieve them
- Regular reporting to relevant stakeholders (Head of CoE PMO Operations, project sponsor, steering committees)
- Building, functionally leading, and coordinating interdisciplinary project teams
Communication
- Regular feedback on the PMO Operations standard to the CoE PMO Operations (global PMO) and the Head of CoE PMO Operations in support of continuous improvement.
- Intercultural competence for leading and communicating within international and culturally diverse teams and stakeholder groups.
Tools
- Utilizing the project/portfolio management tool to manage projects (in accordance with the GPMO Operations standard)
- Using the BI tool to create project status reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or comparable specialized training
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a relevant environment
- Excellent English language skills
Professional competencies:
- Solid knowledge of portfolio management (multi-project management)
- Expert knowledge of classical project management (e.g. PMI, IPMA, PRINCE2)
- Solid knowledge of agile project management (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
- Excellent proficiency in project/portfolio management software (e.g. MS Project Online, cplace)
- Solid experience working with BI tools (e.g. Power BI)
