As a Project Manager in our Distribution / Transmission & Generation portfolio, you will deliver substation, transmission, distribution, and generation projects. You own the project from the end of development through commissioning and turnover: safety, schedule, cost, forecast, contract compliance, and risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the project. Manage engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover to the customer.
  • Own schedule, budget, and forecast. Keep baselines, forecasts, risks, and changes current in Project Insight and report project health (green, yellow, or red) honestly, with a recovery plan for anything not green.
  • Protect the commercial position. Administer contracts, negotiate change orders, and keep customers, contractors, and vendors compliant with contract terms.
  • Lead safety and quality. Work with HSE to maintain a safe site and apply QA programs on every project.
  • Procure and coordinate. Work with Procurement and engineering firms to secure engineers, contractors, equipment, and materials, and track long-lead equipment against the schedule.
  • Manage stakeholders. Lead project meetings and manage customer expectations, interconnection and utility coordination, permits, and land agreements.
  • Direct the field. Set project priorities for the Construction and Site Managers assigned to your project; they report to Construction Management for standards and conduct.
  • Escalate early. Raise risks and bad news to your Portfolio Manager promptly, with options and a recommendation.
