Project Manager R&D (all genders) Product Development

Join our R&D team as a Project Manager (m/f/d) and take ownership of exciting international development projects. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, coordinate stakeholders across multiple disciplines, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Your structured project management approach and proactive communication will be essential in transforming ideas into successful products for the global market


Your job:

  • Manage development projects in accordance with PMO standards, ensuring on-time delivery, adherence to scope, and compliance with established processes.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), milestones, and schedules while proactively identifying project risks, defining mitigation plans, and driving effective escalation management.

  • Act as the central interface between Product Management, Engineering, Industrialization, Procurement, Production, and Quality, coordinating development requests as well as sample and prototype sourcing.

  • Prepare product cost calculations, support pricing negotiations for tooling and components, and coordinate Market Release Dates (MRDs).

  • Drive engineering changes and change management activities throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Facilitate project status and steering meetings, prepare management reports, and ensure high-quality project data within the project management system.


Qualifications and skills:

  • Technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Product Development, or a related field preferred.

  • Several years of project management experience in a product development or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, priorities, and cross-functional projects.

  • Experience working in an international environment and collaborating with global teams and suppliers.

  • Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style with excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar). Power BI Experience is an advantage.

  • Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g. German or Chinese) are an advantage.

  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 20%).
