Job Summary:
The Project Manager will apply thorough knowledge of current principles and practices of engineering as related to the variety of aspects affecting his or her organization. They will also apply knowledge and expertise acquired through progressive experience to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions. In addition, the Engineer VI Project Manager will keep informed of new methods and developments affecting his or her organization and recommends new practices or changes in emphasis of programs, while working on programs of limited complexity and scope.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead a project team for the organization
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and delivery commitments.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate resources across engineering, design, field, operations, and client teams.
- Support change management, contract compliance, invoicing, and project closeout.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
- Support project financial performance, including budget tracking, earned value, forecasting, and invoice review.
- Identify scope changes and support preparation of amendments, change orders, or additional service requests.
- Coordinate with leadership to maintain project profitability and resource utilization.
- Keep informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs or applications
- Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments
- Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, scope development, fee estimating, interviews, and client relationship development.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
- Proficient with electronic communications including e-mail and text as well as standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Advanced oral and written communication skills
- Lead project meetings and makes presentations
- Represent the organization and maintain liaison with individuals and related organizations
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture, free from behaviors that undermine morale, productivity, or organizational values
