PROJECT MANAGER, REPAIR & SCHEDULING

JOB SUMMARY

Direct activities concerned with contracts for sale and installation of repair and upgrades for elevators and/or escalators by performing the following duties. Maintain, manage, and oversee headquarters production and engineering schedules. This position exercises discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Examine estimates of material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy.

  • Track all repair projects through delivery and completion.

  • Prepare quotations, equipment requirements, test and progress reports, and other exhibits that may be required.

  • Review bids from other firms for conformity to contract requirements and determine acceptable bids.

  • Award and administer subcontracts and vendors, including final approval of payment.

  • Coordinate all drawings and approvals from HQ/Vendors to the GC/Owner for required materials on each project.

  • Request or approve change orders and amendments to or extensions of contracts.

  • Advise engineering and production departments of contractual obligations.

  • Compile data for preparing estimates.

  • Maintain contract and order status databases.

  • Review all correspondence concerning general and subcontractors and respond as necessary.

  • Coordinate work of other departments to implement fulfillment of contracts.

  • Act as liaison between company and branches.

  • Maintain headquarters engineering and production schedule.

  • Coordinate schedules between engineering, procurement, production, and project management.

  • Evaluate loading, priorities, and objectives to meet financial, schedule, and contractual obligations.

  • Recommend and direct resource allocation to assure completion and delivery of equipment is consistent with project requirements.

  • Monitor loading and sales to establish engineering and product lead times.

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in related

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS

  • Job duties are performed mainly within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

  • Requires prompt, reliable, regular, and in-person attendance at the office to oversee shared services functions and/or employees, normally achieved by working standard business hours. Certain positions will require a flexibility of working hours to meet the demands of the job and the direction of the manager.
