Project Manager (Research Programmes)

Summary

Manages contracted research projects in education, tracking progress, budgets, and stakeholder collaboration while ensuring quality and compliance with data governance.

Job Scope

  • Monitoring and reviewing the progress of contracted research projects, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and timelines.

a. Developing and maintaining a fit-for-purpose project tracking system.
b. Conducting regular reviews with research teams.
c. Supporting researchers in course correction when projects deviate from planned trajectories.
d. Preparing detailed progress reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Coordinating research administration processes, including ensuring compliance with data governance requirements and facilitating collaboration between research institutions and project stakeholders.
  • Managing programme budgets, procurement processes, and vendor relationships (where applicable), while ensuring adherence to organisational financial procedures in consultation with the Finance team.
  • Forging and maintaining strategic partnerships with local and international researchers and research institutions to strengthen organisational research capabilities (where applicable).
  • Identifying suitable expertise and collaboration opportunities to develop and implement rapid research methodologies (where applicable).
  • Developing comprehensive dissemination strategies, including practitioner guides and policy briefs, to translate research findings into practice.
  • Working closely with contracted researchers to translate research findings into actionable insights for practitioners, solution designers, and policymakers.
  • Coordinating communications across internal teams to ensure coherent and consistent engagement with relevant stakeholder groups.
  • Coordinating professional development initiatives for staff and relevant stakeholders on rapid research methodologies.
  • Supporting programme monitoring and evaluation efforts related to rapid research initiatives.

Requirements

  1. Relevant qualification in research-related disciplines (e.g. educational research, sociology, psychology), or with relevant experience.

  2. At least 1 year of relevant experience in supporting or carrying out research projects (preferably in education settings; undergraduate research experience included).

  3. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports, briefs, and presentation materials.

  4. Good analytical skills, including the ability to synthesise information from multiple sources.

  5. Experience with research methods, survey design, data analysis, or programme evaluation would be advantageous.

  6. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently.

  7. Comfortable engaging stakeholders at different levels, including senior management, practitioners, researchers, and external partners.

  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Familiarity with data analysis or visualisation tools such as Excel, SPSS, R, Python, Power BI, or Tableau would be an advantage.

Contract Duration: 11 months (3 August 2027 to 2 July 2027)

Working Arrangement:

  • 8.30am to 6pm
  • Working hours shall be 8.5 hours for Monday to Thursday and 8 hours for Friday, with a 1-hour lunch break, excluding weekends and PH.

Location: Buona Vista

Salary: Up to S$5,000 per month
