Summary

Project Manager at Awnex, a manufacturer of architectural metal systems (awnings, canopies) for retail storefronts and drive-thrus. Owns customer projects from order release through delivery and installation, coordinating Engineering, Production, Sales, Estimating, and Procurement, using tools like Microsoft Office and QuickBase.

Own the project. Wow the customer. Watch it go up.

At Awnex, we design and build the architectural metal systems you see on the storefronts and drive-thrus of some of the best-known brands in the country: awnings, canopies, and more. We’re looking for a Project Manager who thrives on turning a customer’s order into a finished, installed, beautiful result.

You’ll be the person who makes it happen. From the moment an order is released until the last piece is delivered and installed, you’re the go-to contact for our customers and the glue between Engineering, Production, Sales, Estimating, and Procurement. No two days look the same, and that’s the fun of it.

What you’ll do:

  • Be the face of Awnex for your customers, keeping them informed, confident, and excited from order release through delivery and installation
  • Build and maintain project schedules that keep every job on track
  • Coordinate engineering reviews and approvals for drawings and specifications
  • Partner with Production and Procurement to line up materials, schedules, and priorities
  • Review project documentation for accuracy before it hits the shop floor
  • Spot risks early, such as schedule conflicts, material shortages, or design constraints, and solve them before they become problems
  • Document changes and keep every stakeholder in the loop
  • Support multi-location and phased rollouts
  • Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, and installation partners
  • Make sure Sales and Estimating handoffs are clean and complete
  • Escalate complex issues to senior project managers or leadership when it makes sense
  • Join internal project meetings to review progress and tackle challenges head-on
  • Uphold our company values and help keep our workspace clean, orderly, and safe

What you bring:

  • 3+ years of project coordination or project management experience in construction, manufacturing, engineered products, or architectural building systems
  • Experience managing customer projects, timelines, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred

Nice to have:

  • Basic understanding of engineering drawings, fabrication processes, or installation practices
  • Experience with project management software (QuickBase a plus)
