Summary

Develop and manage integrated schedules for a large IT transformation program using Microsoft Project, leading critical path analysis within a PMO environment.

This is a remote position.

Redtech is helping our client with a Contractor search for a Project Manager/Senior-level Integrated Scheduler in a large PMO environment, ideally with State or local Government experience.


Location - Remote, but reside in Western WA for monthly on-site meeting in Olympia. Possible other occasional on-site meetings as needed

Target start date - Early October 2026

Duration - through 6/30/27 (extensions are possible)

Schedule - Monday through Friday, forty (40)


Contract Pay Rate Range - $65 - $85/hr W2 - this range assumes full benefits participation
Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications and level of benefits selected etc.

We are helping our CLIENT to identify a Project Manager/Senior-level Integrated Scheduler to develop, manage, and maintain a Transformation Program’s integrated schedule, drive critical path analysis, and provide schedule management leadership across all WCSM workstreams. This role requires expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Project, strong strategic planning skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse contributors to monitor risks, escalate issues, and ensure consistent tracking and reporting of program activities. The Integrated Scheduler will serve as a senior schedule management resource embedded with the WCSM Program, working closely with project managers, project leads, subject matter experts, and agency staff to maintain schedule integrity and support program decision-making across a multi-year program horizon.


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in project management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

Minimum ten (10) years of progressive experience in project or program schedule management, with at least five (5) years on large-scale IT modernization or transformation programs.

Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Project, including critical path analysis, resource leveling, baseline management, schedule performance monitoring, and schedule reporting.

Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining integrated program schedules across multiple concurrent workstreams, incorporating resource constraints, milestones, and task dependencies.

Proven experience identifying, escalating, and documenting schedule risks and issues, and developing mitigation strategies in coordination with project managers and program leadership.

Experience working within program management offices (PMOs) on large-scale government or enterprise technology programs, supporting multiple project managers and workstream leads.

Experience working in a matrixed environment of contractor, vendor, and state government resources.

Ability to organize and prioritize in a high production, fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated ability to coach and transfer knowledge on Microsoft Project best practices, schedule performance monitoring, and reporting to project management teams with varying skill levels.

Strong strategic planning and leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate complex schedule and project management information clearly to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Proficiency with the full Microsoft 365 suite including Project, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; able to produce professional-quality schedule reports and status materials independently.

Experience coaching and mentoring project management teams on schedule management, Microsoft Project usage, and scheduling best practices in a large program environment.

Strong collaboration, facilitation, and relationship-building skills with experience working across diverse contributor groups including project managers, SMEs, and agency program staff.

Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), or equivalent, in good standing. Must maintain throughout the SOW term.
