Project Manager/Senior Manager (Mixed Development Project)

Summary

Project Manager for a large-scale mixed-use residential development in Singapore, overseeing pre-construction through completion, coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and authorities across structural, architectural, and MEP disciplines.

As a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of a large scale mixed-use development with residential components in Singapore. The project is scheduled to commence next year, providing an opportunity to be involved from the pre-construction and mobilisation stage through to project completion.

You will work closely with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, authorities and internal project teams to establish the project, drive construction activities and ensure delivery in accordance with programme, quality, safety and contractual requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and coordination of pre-construction, mobilisation and construction activities for the mixed development.
  • Liaise closely with consultants, architects, subcontractors, suppliers and relevant authorities to coordinate design, technical and construction matters.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, method statements and details to identify potential issues and ensure timely resolution prior to construction.
  • Plan and monitor project programme, work sequencing, manpower, resources and site logistics to ensure key milestones are achieved.
  • Coordinate construction activities across structural, architectural, MEP and specialist trades, ensuring effective interface management between different disciplines.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, quality and progress, taking proactive action to address delays and site constraints.
  • Review and manage variations, defects, construction issues and subcontractor payment matters.
  • Conduct regular site and coordination meetings and provide clear direction to project teams and subcontractors.
  • Manage and develop project team members through effective supervision, coaching and resource planning.
  • Identify project risks and drive timely mitigation measures to maintain programme, quality and cost objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance construction efficiency, quality and safety.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant construction experience, preferably with a main contractor.
  • Experience in residential, mixed-use or large-scale building projects is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of building construction, structural and architectural works, with good exposure to multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors, consultants, project programmes and construction milestones.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a hands-on approach to project delivery.
  • Candidates with experience taking projects through pre-construction / mobilisation into construction will have an advantage.
