Background

The Enterprise Service Management project is tasked with delivering a new Service Management platform based on ServiceNow. This will replace the existing Service Management platform which is based on out of support technology.

The new platform will transform the service experience of our staff by making things easier to request through a human centred service experience layer which can be accessed anywhere, anytime.

The project is currently in it’s delivery phase, nearing completion of it’s foundation deployment (release 1). This is due to be delivered in Q1 2027.

Client requires an experienced Project Manager with strong ServiceNow delivery experience to support the Enterprise Service Management project through its current delivery phase and the completion of the foundation deployment. The role will work closely with the Program Manager, internal delivery leads and partner delivery teams across multiple workstreams, with a particular focus on integration and data activities, including data archiving, data migration and knowledge management.

• Develop, maintain and actively manage detailed project plans, schedules, dependencies and resource allocations across assigned workstreams.

• Coordinate internal teams, delivery partners and vendors to drive delivery progress, resolve blockers and achieve agreed outcomes.

• Monitor project progress, risks, issues, decisions and dependencies, escalating matters early where delivery, security, business readiness or schedule impacts arise.

• Prepare clear status reporting, governance forum packs and presentation materials for project stakeholders and governance groups.

• Support implementation planning, go-live readiness and transition activities, including alignment with testing, defect management, change management and business readiness requirements.

• Ensure project delivery remains aligned with Client policies, security standards, delivery governance and relevant regulatory requirements.

Core capabilities

• Project management discipline: strong capability in managing schedule, cost, scope, risk, issues, resources, vendors and delivery dependencies.

• ServiceNow delivery experience: practical experience supporting ServiceNow or similar enterprise service management platform implementations is highly desirable.

• Technical delivery awareness: understanding of middleware, B2B integration, data archiving and related technical delivery activities.

• Data migration capability: demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and track data migration activities, including source data readiness, mapping, cleansing, reconciliation, defect resolution and migration cutover dependencies.

• Testing and defect management: ability to work with test leads and delivery teams to track testing progress, defects, remediation activities and readiness for release.

• Stakeholder and governance capability: strong communication, stakeholder management, presentation and reporting skills, including preparation of governance forum materials.

• Implementation and go-live experience: demonstrated experience supporting implementation planning, cutover, go-live execution and post-go-live stabilisation.

• Change management awareness: understanding of the importance of organisational change management, business readiness and adoption activities in successful platform delivery.
