Project Manager - Software Engineering

Summary

Project Manager guiding software engineering teams to build deep tech products with ML, signal processing, and autonomous underwater vehicle tech.

Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 per year

Utilise your project management background in software engineering to guide the development of sophisticated, deep tech products incorporating machine learning, signal processing and autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) technology. As a junior to mid-level PM, you will need around two to five years managing software engineering projects in high-tech environments, while prior experience as a C++ software engineer would be helpful but not essential.

Critical Skills and Experience:

  • A computer science or engineering degree

  • A project management certification

  • Experience managing software product development projects

  • Project budgeting and cost-accounting exposure

  • A track record of successful project delivery

  • An understanding of systems engineering in a software development context

  • Australian citizenship (essential - classified technology)

Optional Skills and Experience

  • Software engineering or hardware design background

  • Experience managing C++, FPGA, Machine Learning or DSP engineers

  • Experience in industry sectors like biotechnology, defence, aerospace
